Plain-language policy
Privacy, in the same clear light as a travel plan
esimgu. is an independent informational website. This policy explains the small amount of data that can arise when a browser visits it and the limits of what this site does with that data.
Last updated: 8 February 2026
We do not operate accounts, a checkout, a customer dashboard or a hosted contact database. We do not sell eSIMs or provide telecommunications service. This policy applies to esimgu.digital and is intended to explain data handling in a manner appropriate for visitors in Europe and elsewhere.
Who this policy covers
This policy concerns visitors to this website and people who choose to contact the esimgu. editorial desk. The site is an informational publication about travel connectivity; it is not a mobile operator, eSIM provider, merchant or account service. Questions about a particular mobile plan, carrier account, payment, activation or device service should be directed to the relevant provider or operator, which has its own privacy information.
For questions about this policy, contact [email protected]. Please do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email unless you are comfortable using that channel.
Cookies and local browser storage
esimgu.digital sets no first-party tracking cookies. We do not use this site to build advertising profiles, follow visitors across websites or run a first-party analytics cookie. The site has a light/dark theme control. If a visitor uses it, the browser stores a simple preference in localStorage so the selected appearance can persist on that browser. This value is not sent to us and is not used to identify a visitor.
A browser may also handle storage or requests according to its own settings and the policies of third-party services described below. Visitors can clear localStorage or change browser settings at any time. Clearing it merely returns the appearance control to its default behaviour, which respects the system preference where available.
Analytics and server information
We do not run a first-party analytics service on this site. Like most websites, the hosting environment or network used to deliver a page may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, time of request, page requested and diagnostic data in server or security logs. That processing is controlled by the relevant hosting or network service and its applicable policy, not by a visitor account on esimgu. We do not use this publication to turn such technical information into personal advertising profiles.
If hosting arrangements change, this policy will be updated where the change materially affects the way personal data is handled. Technical logs can be necessary for delivery, reliability and security, but they should not be mistaken for a user profile held by the editorial site.
The contact form and email
The contact form on our contact page is intentionally simple. It uses JavaScript in the visitor’s browser to compose a mailto: message addressed to [email protected]. It does not submit the form to this website, database or server. No form data is transmitted to or stored by this site.
Once a visitor chooses to send the resulting email through their own email application or email provider, that message is handled by the visitor’s email service and the recipient mailbox in the ordinary way. The content of an email may include personal data the sender chooses to provide, such as a name, email address or editorial comment. We use such correspondence only to read, consider and, where appropriate, respond to the editorial matter raised. We do not sell email addresses or use them for an unrelated mailing list.
Sending email is optional. A visitor can instead use the site without contacting us. For account, activation or provider-service problems, do not send credentials, activation codes, payment information or other sensitive data to esimgu.; we cannot use it to resolve those matters.
Third-party services and external requests
This self-contained website uses a small number of third-party resources so that it can display typography, styling and editorial photography. A visitor’s browser may make a request to those services when loading a page. Such requests can include technical information such as an IP address, user agent and the requested resource, which is inherent in delivering web content. The relevant third party’s privacy policy governs its processing.
The resources used are Google Fonts, which provides the Playfair Display and Source Sans 3 web fonts; the Tailwind CDN, which provides styling code; and Unsplash’s image CDN at images.unsplash.com, which supplies the editorial photographs shown on the site. We use those photographs under the URLs displayed in the page source. We do not control how these third parties process network requests. Visitors who prefer to limit external requests can use browser privacy tools or content controls, understanding that the visual presentation may change.
Our articles also contain ordinary links to other pages of this website and may refer readers to primary sources in prose. A link to another website is governed by that other website’s privacy practices once visited. We do not accept responsibility for external sites or their data-handling choices.
Why data may be processed
Where data is processed in connection with delivering the site, it is generally for the legitimate interests of making a publication available securely, maintaining basic functionality and responding to a message a visitor has chosen to send. Where an email is sent, the sender controls the content they provide. We do not request information beyond what is useful for ordinary editorial correspondence.
We do not make automated decisions about visitors, create profiles for advertising, sell personal data or run a marketplace through this site. The absence of accounts and checkout reduces the information this publication needs to handle.
European privacy rights
Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or other jurisdictions with similar rules may have rights under applicable data-protection law. Depending on the circumstances, these can include the right to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, or portability. A visitor may also have the right to complain to the relevant supervisory authority.
Because the website does not maintain visitor accounts or form submissions, our ability to identify or retrieve information about an ordinary visit is limited. If you contact us about an email you sent, please write from the same address where possible and state the nature of the request. We may need enough information to verify the request and to avoid disclosing information to the wrong person. Rights are subject to applicable law and lawful retention obligations.
Retention and security
We do not store contact-form submissions because none are sent to this site. Email correspondence, if sent, may be kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the editorial conversation, correction record or legal and security purpose for which it was received. We aim to keep access to correspondence limited and to use reasonable safeguards appropriate to ordinary email, while recognising that no internet transmission or email account can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Avoid including sensitive information in an editorial message. The site has no reason to receive passwords, SIM credentials, financial details, identity documents or activation codes. If a provider asks for such data in its own support process, consult that provider’s official instructions rather than sharing it with an independent publication.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the site changes, as third-party resources change, or where legal and practical clarity calls for an update. The date near the top of the page shows the most recent revision. A change takes effect when the updated policy is published on this page. We encourage visitors to return here if they want to understand the current handling before choosing to contact us.
